主要科研领域与方向:

主要从事微生物学及家蚕分子生物学研究,目前从事领域有:

(1) 家蚕微孢子虫的功能基因组学研究。运用微孢子虫的基因组数据,对微孢子虫重要的生物学问题如侵染、增殖、垂直传播,病原与宿主的相互作用等方面进行深入研究。

(2)蚕桑病原微生物检测与防控。以蚕桑重要病原微生物为对象,以解决蚕业重要问题、解放生产力为目标导向,建立检测方法和检测标准,研发快速、特异的检测产品。基于病原微生物的基础研究,开展抗性素材创建、生物防控等研究以解决生产实际问题。

(3)微生物资源及次生代谢研究。主要采用微生物学方法、宏基因组学方法和生物化学方法,从不同生境筛选、纯化、改造微生物,用于农林病虫害的生防研究。

科学成就:

现任重庆师范大学校长、西南大学家蚕基因组生物学国家重点实验室副主任,重庆市科协副主席、重庆市微生物学会副理事长。主要从事微生物学、家蚕病原微生物功能基因组学和家蚕分子生物学研究,推动开展了家蚕基因组计划,组织完成了家蚕病原性微孢子虫基因组的测序分析,主持开展了蚕桑病原微生物抗病、检测,功能基因组学、寄生虫与宿主互作关系以及资源微生物开发利用等研究。近年来先后主持“863”项目、 “973”项目子课题、国家转基因植物专项、国家自然科学基金重点项目等20余项重大课题,先后在Science、BMC Genomics、Proteomics、Eukaryotic Cell、Parasitology等国内外学术杂志发表研究论文130余篇。获国家自然科学二等奖、重庆市自然科学一等奖、第四届中国科协西部开发突出贡献奖、“全国五一劳动奖章”等奖励。已培养毕业硕博士研究生90余人,指导的博士毕业生中一名获评2010年度“全国百篇优秀博士论文”,多名毕业生获评重庆市优秀毕业论文。
